WHAT DO WE DO?

Demeter Canada coordinates biodynamic certification in all Provinces except British Columbia

We offer two levels of certification, Demeter and “In-Conversion” to Demeter, both of which are based on standards established by the Biodynamic Federation – Demeter International.

In 2017 Demeter Canada engaged Ecocert in Canada to provide accredited third-party inspections and complete Demeter inspection forms. The Demeter Canada Certification Committee reviews both the Demeter inspection reports and, where appropriate, the organic reports to determine the level of Demeter certification to be granted. Demeter certification requires that farms and facilities meet the Canadian Organic Regime (COR) as well as being in compliance with the BFDI (Biodynamic Federation – Demeter International) Standards.
